socal double d farm
Homemade jams, jellies, loose leaf teas, seasonings, crackers, confections and Alpaca fiber products.
Welcome to our small family farm through Harvest Hosts and HipCamp. Although we are not a large-scale operation, we have plenty going on around us and would love to share this with you as we are able.
Currently, we sell our products and plants at our local Redlands Saturday Morning Farmer’s Market, through our own farmstand and online, but have included our offerings list attached with what is currently in production or season. Our plant farmstand is always open for honor system purchases.
We have opened up our farm to Harvest Hosts and HipCamp guests in the hope of being able to show you around and share our journey, but we realize that for many this is simply a stop on the road of grander travel plans. In any case, we offer you a safe journey and hope that your brief stop in Calimesa provides you with some fragment of peace and happiness.
Cheers and safe travels,
Mike and Julianne

Your Stay
We are working folks, both at our “day jobs” and on our farm. We have opened up our farm for RV stays to meet new folks and share our story. With this, please understand that we make our calendar pretty open for folks to be able to accommodate their plans. This may not always coincide with ours. Please understand that we may not be available to show you around the farm due to our work schedule, but will try our very best to accommodate your stay.
Accessibility
We have our front yard RV spot reserved just for you. This means that you are welcome to arrive at your convenience and leave in the same manner. We understand that your time is valuable and do not wish to bind you with requirements. We simply ask that you follow our requested “check-out” instructions for the safety of our farm.
Site accommodations
We built our RV pad for our own rig and have both water and power available for you to use if you would like. We ask that you monitor usage as we try to keep our farm costs low but understand that sometimes modern conveniences are necessary.
Our space is gravel with a slight downhill to it. It is located directly off of our street by means of a wood gate. This spot is not a pull-through. We have installed ambient lighting to assist with maneuvering in the dark. Please be mindful of our fence and gates when parking and departing as we don’t want damage and neither do you.
As a warning, our neighbors raise gamefowl and those buggars wake quite early - I wish it wasn’t so - but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Arrival
We will leave that up to you, but if you could send us a quick text (909) 286-2383 when you are about 30 minutes away, we would greatly appreciate it.
Typically, we are available after 6:00PM (M-F) to show you around our small farm. However, we will leave all of that open to both of our respective schedules. We will leave our gates open for you and it is pretty self-explanatory when you arrive as our farm is not that big. We ask that you do not venture out of the front yard area (into our back property) as we have guardian dogs that do their job quite well. We have fenced in our front yard area where the RV space is located so you can feel safe, but please ensure that your dogs are leashed in this area and children are monitored to remain in the designated space.
We do give notice to you that we have exterior security cameras on site for the safety of our animals and home.
Children and Pets
We completely understand travelling with your pets and children. We are like-minded in that regard. We do however understand the challenges this brings and ask for your cooperation in the following rules for your safety and that of ours:
-Please keep all dogs leashed. You are free to walk the front lawn with them, but we ask that you please pick up their solid waste and haul it out with you.
-Please keep all children in sight in the front yard close to your rig.
There are many reasons for this (my children were curious too) but the prime reason is their safety. We do not want anyone to have a bad experience touring our farm and when supervised by one of our designated folks, can ensure this better.
Local Climate and Pests
Our farm is in a rural area (for Southern California that is) and we reside near open fields. With this brings all of the natural habitat such as spiders, tarantulas, snakes - both non and venemous, coyotes, wild rabbits, centipedes, ants, owls, hawks, and have even seen a few cougars and bobcats near our land.
I would suggest checking your weather app, typically it is either hot or mildly hot and every once in a while it actually rains.
Checking Out
At your convenience, you can leave when you want. We do ask that you leave by noon the following day (or for HipCampers, the date of checkout of your overnight stay in case we have another traveler arriving that day. We don’t want to rush you off our property so if a little more time is needed, please contact us directly so we can advise of any conflicts and try to accommodate you.
Simply pack up your rig and those pets and children you may have brought with you and head on out to your next adventure.
We ask that you do the following when you leave our property:
-Tie up and place your trash in the designated bin
-Please pick up all of your belongings and trash
-If you utilized the hook-ups, please turn off water at spout and place electrical cord back where you found it
-Shut the gate securely behind you
-Don’t forget to leave us a review or a text message and we hope to see you again.
Note on purchase expectations
Bottom line, we are a small farm business. We have
expenses and overhead and too many mouths to feed
- but we are not hosting through Harvest Hosts or HipCamp to make money. We don’t have that expectation. We love sharing our story and our experiences, and if what we have to offer you is something that you want - great! We would love to sell any of our products to you - but that is not our sole purpose in hosting. We wanted to offer a safe space for folks to spend a night and enjoy the sights and sounds our little neck of the woods can offer. We are not a commercial operation, we are a small family run business that enjoys sharing our joy and hopefully making a new friend or acquaintance along the way.
